Review
Hostinger review
The cheapest four-year total on this site, and the only one of the three where a human performs your migration. The costs are weekly-only backups on the entry tier, no phone support, and a checkout that pre-selects the 48-month term.
This review sticks to things you can check: published prices, contract terms, and what the refund, backup and migration policies say in writing. We do not publish speed benchmarks, because a single test on shared hosting measures which neighbour was busy that afternoon. Our full methodology is here.
Plans and what they really cost
| Host & plan | Intro price | Renews at | Promo term | 4-year true cost | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HostingerPremium | $2.99/mo | $10.99/mo+268% | 48 mo | $144 | 20 GB SSD3 sites |
| HostingerUnlimited | $3.99/mo | $16.99/mo+326% | 48 mo | $192 | 50 GB NVMeUnlimited sites |
| HostingerCloud Startup | $7.99/mo | $25.99/mo+225% | 48 mo | $384 | 100 GB NVMeUnlimited sites |
Intro prices require paying the full promo term upfront. “4-year true cost” is the promo term at the intro rate plus the remaining months at the renewal rate — the number the pricing page does not show you. Verified September 2026. See the screenshots these figures were read from.

The cheapest Hostinger plan to own for four years is Premium at about $144 — intro rate for the promotional term, renewal rate thereafter.

Verdict
- Lowest four-year total cost of any plan we track
- Staff-performed migration, unlimited sites, free on every tier
- Widest choice of datacenter regions of the three
- Independent ownership — no private-equity conglomerate
- Premium gets weekly backups only; daily is a paid add-on
- No phone support under any circumstances
- The 48-month term is pre-selected at checkout, which obscures the real commitment
- Premium holds three sites, not the “unlimited” most people assume
The fine print
This is the part that decides whether you are happy in year two.
| Owner | Privately held, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. Independent — not part of Newfold Digital or GoDaddy. |
| Control panel | hPanel (proprietary). No cPanel. |
| Support | 24/7 live chat and tickets. No phone support at all — Hostinger states this explicitly. |
| Backups | Weekly on all plans. Daily backups are a paid add-on on Premium, included from Unlimited upward. |
| Migration | Free and staff-performed, unlimited sites, on every plan. You submit a form and their migration team does the work. |
| Refund window | 30 days. Domain registrations, renewals, transfers, privacy protection and paid support services are excluded. VPS refunds require a 180-day gap between requests. |
| Free domain | Free for one year; .com renews at $19.99/yr. |
| Datacenters | France, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, UK, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil and the USA (Phoenix, Boston, Asheville). |
What the AI features actually include
Hostinger’s pricing cards advertise “AI Builder (5 credits)” on Premium and 15 credits on Unlimited and Cloud Startup. What a credit buys, and whether you get that many once or every month, is not stated anywhere on the pricing page.
Hostinger does publish a credit definition for Hostinger Horizons, which is a separate product with its own plans: there, “1 message (prompt) = 1 AI credit if coding changes were made”, allocations run from 30 to 400 credits a month, and “unused monthly AI credits expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over”. Top-ups are “more expensive per credit than subscriptions” and “expire 3 months after purchase if unused”. Whether the hosting plans’ 5 and 15 credits follow the same rules, Hostinger does not say.
Two other things worth noticing on the card. Premium is excluded from AI tools altogether — the feature list shows a dash, not a tick, next to both “AI tools” and “AI email marketing”. And on the plans that do include it, AI email marketing is “free for 1 year”, which puts it on the same footing as the free domain: an introductory inclusion with an expiry date rather than part of the plan.
Providers advertise these inclusions without publishing the limits. Specifically: whether Hostinger’s 5 and 15 hosting-plan credits are monthly or one-time; how many free AI tokens each SiteGround plan includes; and what Bluehost’s “AI Site Creation Tools” contains or caps. We have left these unconfirmed rather than guessing. AI terms change faster than prices — this section was checked against provider documentation on 20 September 2026.
