Best Web Hosting Deals is funded by affiliate commissions. Many of the links on this site to hosting providers are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the provider pays us a commission. This costs you nothing — you pay the same price you would pay going direct.
What we are paid
Commissions in web hosting typically range from around $65 to $200 for a shared hosting signup, and can be higher for managed hosting, VPS and enterprise plans. Some programs pay a percentage of the sale instead, and some pay recurring commissions for as long as you remain a customer. Rates differ between providers, which means we are paid more for some recommendations than others.
How this affects what you read
We rank hosting plans on four-year total cost and suitability, not on commission rate. We regularly recommend cheaper options that pay us less, and we advise against expensive managed hosting for new sites even though it pays us considerably more.
