Sam Hollis is a pen name. It belongs to the independent owner of Best Web Hosting Deals, who writes and checks everything on this site and has no employment or ownership ties to any hosting company.

Why hosting prices

Sam runs several small websites, including this one on Hostinger, and buys hosting the way most readers do: by looking at a pricing page that leads with an introductory rate. The renewal rate is the number that decides what a site costs over its life, and it is usually the hardest one to find. Every page here leads with it.

How Sam checks a price

Every price is read from the provider’s own pricing page, never from another review site.
Each table says when it was checked, and the price check page keeps screenshots of what the pricing pages showed.
Where a provider does not publish something (a renewal term, what a credit buys), the page says so rather than guessing.
The four-year figure is simple arithmetic: the promo term at the intro rate plus the remaining months at the renewal rate.
