The short version

Hostinger’s “Business” plan no longer exists under that name. In July 2026 Hostinger renamed it Unlimited; same tier, same position in the lineup. So “Premium vs Business” is really Premium vs Unlimited: $2.99 vs $3.99 a month on the 48-month term, renewing at $10.99 vs $16.99, a difference of about $48 over four years. Pay it if you need daily backups, WordPress staging, or more than three websites. Skip it if you are running one or two small sites.

Both plans are shared hosting on Hostinger’s own hPanel, both include a free domain for a year, free SSL, a CDN and unlimited bandwidth, and both use the same 48-month promotional term with the same renewal mechanics. What you are choosing between is capacity and safety: how many sites, how much and how fast the storage, and how often Hostinger backs you up.

Why “Business” disappeared

Hostinger’s support documentation states that as of July 2026 the Business plan “transitioned to Unlimited” across its web hosting pages. The tier did not go away; the name did. Older articles, checkout pages and a great many third-party reviews still say Business, which is why the search term persists. If you bought Business before the rename you are on the Unlimited tier now, with the limits described below. Hostinger also versions its plan limits by purchase date (three versions since April 2025), so a plan bought last year may have slightly different numbers from the current ones. The figures here are for plans bought today.

What each really costs

Hostinger’s headline price requires paying 48 months upfront. The renewal price then applies from month 49. Here is the arithmetic the pricing page leaves out.

The gap is small in year one and grows after renewal: $6.00 a month, or about $72 a year, from month 49. Over six years Unlimited costs roughly $192 more than Premium. That is the price of the features below; decide whether you would use them.

Three rows do the work. Backups: Premium is backed up weekly, so a broken site restores to a point up to six days old; Unlimited is backed up daily. Staging: only Unlimited lets you clone a WordPress site, test an update, and push it live. NVMe storage and double the workers: Unlimited is noticeably quicker under load; Premium’s SSD and single core are fine for a site with a few thousand visits a month and not much more.

Which one to pick

Premium, if…

  • You are running one to three sites and none of them is a store
  • You take your own backups (a free plugin to your own cloud storage covers it)
  • Cost matters more than convenience: $144 over four years is the lowest total on this site

Unlimited, if…

  • You update plugins on a live site and would rather test first (staging)
  • You want Hostinger to hold a daily backup without paying the add-on
  • You run more than three sites, or expect to
  • Any site takes payments or bookings, where a day of lost data is real money
The trap on both

Checkout pre-selects the 48-month term, and both plans renew at three to four times the intro rate. Set a reminder for month 46 and read the renewal price trap before you buy.

When neither is right: Cloud Startup

If a site is already past roughly 50,000 visits a month, or you need on-demand backups, dedicated resources and 100 GB, the next step is Hostinger’s Cloud Startup at $7.99 intro and $25.99 renewal. It is a different product, not a bigger shared plan; the comparison with Cloudways is here.
