Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Best Web Hosting Deals collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
Information we collect
Automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard log data when you visit: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used for security and aggregate traffic analysis.
Our own visit counter. We keep a simple first-party record of page views and of clicks on outbound affiliate links, so we can see which pages are read and which links are used. It sets no cookies, uses no third-party service, and nothing it records leaves our server. For each event we store the time, the page address, a short label such as the page title or the name of the plan whose button was clicked, and the website you arrived from reduced to its domain name only. Your IP address is never stored. It is combined with a secret value and converted by a one-way cryptographic hash into a ten-character code, which lets us count how many separate people visited without being able to work out who they were or recognise them on any other site. Requests that appear to come from automated crawlers are flagged and excluded from our figures. The record is kept on our own server, is not shared with anyone, and is deleted on a rolling basis as it ages.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors reach the site. It sets cookies and collects your IP address (which we have configured Google to anonymise), pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring source. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features. Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it outside your country; see Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google’s browser add-on.
Email. If you email us, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the correspondence.
We do not ask for or store payment information. All purchases happen on the hosting provider's own site under their privacy policy.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the hosting provider sets a cookie in your browser so they can attribute any resulting purchase to us. These cookies are set by the provider, not by us, and typically last between 30 and 180 days. They are governed by that provider's privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not change the price you pay or your ability to use this site.
Third parties
The affiliate networks and hosting providers we link to are independent controllers of any data they collect about you. We have no access to their records beyond aggregate commission reporting, which does not identify individual purchasers to us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Under the GDPR and similar laws these rights apply to EU and UK residents; under the CCPA and similar state laws, California and other US residents have comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Data retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes. Email correspondence is retained while relevant.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
