Answer

Do Hostinger AI Builder credits renew every month?

Short answer

Hostinger does not say. The hosting pricing page advertises “AI Builder (5 credits)” on Premium and 15 on Unlimited and Cloud Startup without stating whether that is a one-time grant or a monthly allowance. Hostinger publishes credit rules for Horizons, a separate product, where credits do refresh monthly and expire unused — but it does not confirm those rules apply to the hosting plans.

What the pricing page actually says

Under “Build with:”, each shared plan lists an AI Builder allocation: 5 credits on Premium, 15 on Unlimited and 15 on Cloud Startup. There is no footnote, no asterisk, and no link explaining the unit or the refresh period. You are told a number without being told what it measures or how often you get it.

What Hostinger documents elsewhere

Hostinger does publish credit rules — but for Hostinger Horizons, which is a separate product sold on its own plans (Explorer, Starter, Hobbyist, Hustler). In that documentation:

  • “1 message (prompt) = 1 AI credit if coding changes were made”, and prompts that change nothing may not be charged, subject to a fair use policy.
  • Allocations run from 30 to 400 credits a month depending on plan.
  • “Unused monthly AI credits expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over upon subscription renewal.”
  • Top-ups are “more expensive per credit than subscriptions” and “expire 3 months after purchase if unused”.
Why we will not just assume

It would be easy to write “so your 5 credits refresh monthly and expire”. That is a guess. Horizons is a different product with a different price list, and 5 credits is nothing like the 30 that Horizons’ entry plan carries. The honest position is that Hostinger has not published the answer for hosting plans, and a number advertised without its unit or its period is not a specification.

What this is worth in practice

Read against the Horizons definition, five credits is five prompts that change code. If the hosting allocation behaves the same way, Premium’s allowance is exhausted in a single sitting. If it refreshes monthly, it is a light but ongoing allowance. Those are very different products, and the difference is not disclosed at the point of sale.

The related thing to check

Premium does not include AI tools at all. On the pricing card, “AI tools” and “AI email marketing” both carry a dash rather than a tick on Premium — they are Unlimited and Cloud Startup features. And where AI email marketing is included, it is “free for 1 year”, which makes it an introductory inclusion with an expiry date rather than part of the plan, in exactly the way the free domain is.

What to do about it

If the AI builder is a reason you are choosing Hostinger, ask support to confirm in writing whether the allocation is monthly or one-time before you commit to a 48-month term. If it is not a reason, this changes nothing about the plan’s value — which is the four-year cost, not the credits.
